Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how IndiHomes, operated as an individual business in India (“IndiHomes”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data when you visit this website, create a customer account, place an order, communicate with us, or otherwise use our services.

Our store is powered by Shopify. Shopify and other service providers process information to enable the store, checkout, payments, customer accounts, security, fulfilment, analytics, advertising, and communications. By using the services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required, we will request it separately and you may withdraw it as described below.

1. Scope

This policy applies to customers and visitors in India who interact with our website, customer accounts, checkout, support, email, SMS, WhatsApp, advertising, analytics, and order fulfilment. It does not control independent third-party websites or services linked from our store.

2. Minimum Age

Our services and customer accounts are intended for persons aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children for the purpose of allowing them to place orders. If you believe a child has submitted personal data without appropriate authorisation, contact grievance@indihomes.store.

3. Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data: name, email, phone number, billing address, delivery address, city, state, PIN code, and account identifiers.
  • Order and transaction data: products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order value, discounts, returns, refunds, replacements, delivery history, and support history.
  • Payment-related data: payment method, payment status, transaction identifiers, limited payment details supplied by payment providers, COD status, and refund destination details. Complete card credentials are generally processed by authorised payment providers rather than stored directly by IndiHomes.
  • Account data: customer-account profile, login or authentication events, saved addresses, preferences, and account activity.
  • Communications: emails, SMS, WhatsApp messages, forms, complaints, reviews, photographs, videos, call notes, and other information you provide.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, language, approximate location, referral source, pages visited, search activity, clicks, cart events, checkout events, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and similar technical data.
  • Marketing data: consent status, campaign engagement, ad interactions, audience or attribution identifiers, and communication preferences.
  • Fraud and security data: risk signals, failed payment information, suspicious activity, delivery abuse indicators, and records needed to protect accounts and transactions.

4. Sources of Personal Data

We collect data directly from you; automatically from your browser or device; from Shopify; payment providers; couriers and fulfilment partners; communications and marketing providers; Meta, Google, and other advertising or analytics partners; fraud-prevention services; and lawful public or third-party sources.

5. Why We Use Personal Data

We may process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Provide the website, customer accounts, checkout, and related services.
  • Verify, accept, fulfil, ship, track, deliver, cancel, replace, return, and refund orders.
  • Process prepaid, UPI, card, COD, and other supported payments.
  • Communicate order confirmations, payment notices, security alerts, shipping updates, delivery information, support responses, and grievance outcomes.
  • Provide product recommendations, customer service, troubleshooting, and account assistance.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, account misuse, payment abuse, false claims, cyber incidents, and unlawful activity.
  • Maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce policies, protect legal rights, and comply with tax, accounting, consumer, data-protection, law-enforcement, and regulatory obligations.
  • Measure store performance, understand customer journeys, improve products and services, diagnose errors, and conduct analytics.
  • Send marketing by email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other channels where permitted and based on valid consent where required.
  • Deliver and measure advertising through platforms such as Meta and Google, subject to cookie choices, consent requirements, and applicable law.

6. Legal Basis and Consent

We process personal data where necessary to take steps requested by you or perform a transaction, comply with law, protect legitimate interests and security where permitted, respond to emergencies or legal claims, and on the basis of consent where applicable. Consent requests will be specific enough to explain the relevant purpose. You may withdraw consent, but withdrawal does not invalidate processing already lawfully completed and may not stop processing required for an existing order or legal obligation.

7. Shopify

Shopify hosts our store and provides ecommerce infrastructure, customer accounts, checkout, security, analytics, and related services. Information submitted through the store is transmitted to Shopify and may be processed by Shopify and its service providers in India or other countries. Shopify’s own privacy information is available at Shopify Privacy.

8. Payments

Payments may be processed by Shopify and third-party banks, card networks, gateways, UPI providers, or COD partners. Those providers may collect payment credentials, verification information, risk signals, and transaction details under their own privacy notices and legal obligations. IndiHomes receives only the information reasonably necessary to confirm, administer, reconcile, and refund transactions.

9. Shipping and Fulfilment

We share necessary order information with suppliers, warehouses, fulfilment partners, couriers, logistics platforms, and delivery personnel. This can include the recipient’s name, address, phone number, products, parcel value, payment status, COD amount, and delivery instructions. They should use this data only to fulfil, deliver, verify, return, or support the order and meet legal obligations.

10. Customer Accounts

Customer accounts are powered by Shopify. Account information may be used to authenticate you, display order history, manage addresses, support returns, personalise the experience, and secure transactions. Keep access to your email, phone, device, and account authentication method secure. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised activity.

11. Email, SMS and WhatsApp

We may send transactional communications needed for accounts, orders, payments, delivery, returns, security, and customer support. With appropriate consent, we may also send offers, product updates, cart reminders, or other marketing through email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

You can opt out of marketing using an unsubscribe link, recognised reply command, WhatsApp opt-out instruction, account preference, or by emailing support@indihomes.store. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service communications about active orders or accounts.

12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the website functioning, remember preferences, maintain security, understand usage, measure performance, attribute advertising, and personalise content or ads where permitted. Some technologies are necessary; others may depend on your consent or privacy choices.

You can manage available cookie choices through our cookie banner or browser settings. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent parts of the store, account, cart, or checkout from working properly.

13. Meta Pixel and Meta Services

Where enabled and permitted, the Meta Pixel or related Meta technologies may receive browser, device, page-view, product-view, cart, checkout, purchase, and campaign-attribution information. Meta may use this information under its own terms to provide measurement, audience, and advertising services. Your choices may be managed through our consent controls, browser settings, and Meta account settings where available.

14. Google Analytics and Google Ads

Where enabled and permitted, Google Analytics, Google Ads, or related Google technologies may collect device, usage, referral, conversion, and advertising information to measure website activity and campaign performance. Google processes data under its own privacy terms. Available consent controls, browser settings, and Google advertising settings can be used to manage relevant choices.

15. How We Share Personal Data

We may share personal data only as reasonably necessary with:

  • Shopify and ecommerce infrastructure providers;
  • Payment providers, banks, UPI services, card networks, and fraud-prevention services;
  • Suppliers, warehouses, fulfilment partners, couriers, and returns providers;
  • Email, SMS, WhatsApp, customer-support, review, and communications providers;
  • Meta, Google, analytics, advertising, and campaign-measurement providers where enabled;
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and technology or security providers;
  • Government, regulatory, law-enforcement, judicial, or dispute-resolution bodies where legally required; and
  • A successor or purchaser in a genuine business reorganisation, subject to applicable safeguards.

We do not authorise third parties to use order information for unrelated purposes merely because they help us fulfil an order.

16. International Processing

Shopify and other providers may process or store information outside India. Where cross-border processing occurs, we rely on lawful arrangements and provider safeguards applicable to the service. We will comply with any Indian restrictions or requirements governing transfers as they become applicable.

17. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including account administration, order fulfilment, customer support, fraud prevention, legal claims, tax and accounting records, warranty obligations, and regulatory compliance. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information where it no longer identifies an individual.

18. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, organisational, and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the data and our business, including Shopify security features, controlled access, account authentication, provider due diligence, and fraud monitoring. No system or transmission method is completely secure. Do not send card PINs, banking passwords, unnecessary identity documents, or unrelated one-time passwords by email or WhatsApp.

19. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, commencement provisions, verification, and lawful exceptions, you may request information about processing, access to relevant personal data, correction, completion, updating, erasure, withdrawal of consent, marketing opt-out, and grievance redressal. You may also nominate another person where such a right is available under applicable law.

To exercise a request, email grievance@indihomes.store with enough information to identify your account and request. We may verify your identity and ask for limited additional information. We may retain information where required for law, fraud prevention, disputes, tax, accounting, or fulfilment of an existing transaction.

20. Automated Tools and Advertising Decisions

We and our providers may use automated tools to detect fraud, measure campaigns, recommend products, personalise content, or decide whether additional order verification is needed. We do not intend to use automated processing to deny mandatory consumer remedies. You may contact us if you believe an automated result materially and incorrectly affected you.

21. Public Content

Reviews, questions, photographs, videos, or other content you choose to publish may be visible publicly. Do not include addresses, phone numbers, financial information, or other sensitive personal data in public content. We may moderate personal information to protect users.

22. Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party websites, social networks, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review them before providing personal data. A link does not mean that IndiHomes controls or endorses every third-party practice.

23. Children’s Data

We do not knowingly permit persons under 18 to independently create accounts or place orders. If we learn that personal data was submitted by a child without appropriate authorisation, we will assess and delete or restrict it where required. Contact grievance@indihomes.store to report a concern.

24. Complaints and Grievance Redressal

For privacy requests or complaints, email grievance@indihomes.store. Include your name, account or order email, the nature of the request, and supporting details. We will acknowledge and handle grievances within timelines required by applicable law. For routine customer support, email support@indihomes.store.

25. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, technology, Shopify features, providers, or business practices. We will publish the revised version and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent.
